Rinnai offers a broad range of gas appliances that make people’s lives more comfortable – with the introduction of reliable, energy-efficient home and hot water heating. The company also extends a high level of support to New Zealand’s up-and-coming plumbing and gas fitting apprentices.
Sales, service & marketing manager David Waters says Rinnai supports emerging apprentices on several fronts.
"We have had a strong commitment to training for a number of years, with several hundred gas fitters and plumbers trained by us every year," says Waters. "In fact, we employ full-time staff dedicated to this task alone."
In addition, Rinnai’s range of courses is constantly being refreshed, and new ones added to keep pace with advances in the industry, such as in solar heating and commercial water heating systems.
"Part of our drive to support youngsters in these trades has been constructing a state-of-the-art training facility," he says. "There are two training rooms – one classroom and one hands-on training area where appliances such as open fires, heaters and water heaters can be commissioned and installed in a focused training environment."
Rinnai’s involvement in training pays a double benefit – on the one hand, these moves help improve the skillset of our younger workforce, on the other, they make it clear to the public at large that Rinnai takes heating and the attendant trades that install it very seriously indeed.
